AT Assessments
Choosing the right Assistive Technology (AT) can be a daunting and time-consuming task, but it’s crucial for improving the quality of life for people with disabilities or age-related challenges.
An AT assessor is a professional who evaluates an individual’s needs and identifies the most suitable AT products for them.
This process often involves assessing the person’s medical, physical, and cognitive abilities. Under programs like My Aged Care, NDIS, and the Department of Veteran Affairs, an AT assessment report is typically required for funding approval.
An independent Occupational Therapist will conduct the assessment to find the best AT solutions.
This can take place in our showroom or at your home and will cover:
Of size and ergonomics to ensure the AT is a proper fit.
Trying out different AT options and determining which ones work best for the individual.
Providing a written report that details the equipment trialed and the clinician’s recommendations for funding purposes.
We can help take the stress and guesswork out of selecting the right assistive technology.
