Patient Handling: Facilitating Normal Movement

Learn how to safely handle patients while promoting their natural movements at our upcoming event!

Training by Sam Stringer, Novis Healthcare

Effective and Safe Patient Handling techniques should support a Client-centric model of care. By considering the Client’s typical patterns of movement we are able to provide sufficient support to encourage participation in the movement, whilst not overcompensating to the detriment of Client function or Caregiver safety.

Content Overview

We will analyse normal movement, demonstrate appropriate techniques for varied levels of ability and look at the latest evidence on Patient Handling Programs.
